One hundred years ago during the so-called 'Spanish Flu' pandemic an estimated 228,000 people succumbed. Pro-rata that's about three times the number of Covid-19 related deaths when compared to with current situation...
.. and yet it didn't even warrant a mention in the UK government cabinet meetings!
